Why This Resource Exists
Michigan law allows access to many public records, subject to exemptions and other limits, but access does not mean that all records appear in one database. Huron County publishes no official online jail roster or rolling release feed. A person leaving the Huron County Jail may need to be traced through a Sheriff movement record, a 73B District or 52nd Circuit Court event, MI-VINE, or a receiving agency.
State cases follow another route. The Michigan Department of Corrections runs OTIS, which can show parole, discharge, supervision location, and date fields for people under or recently discharged from MDOC jurisdiction. OTIS does not cover an ordinary county-jail-only sentence. State parole and MDOC probation are handled through the Huron field office, while 73B District probation handles local court supervision. Federal releases belong in the Bureau of Prisons system, and immigration custody has its own locator.
This site organizes those release records, offender searches, supervision lookups, and request steps by custody type. It does not combine unlike systems or treat a transfer as release to the community. Official Huron County sources, Michigan agencies, courts, BOP, and ICE remain the record owners.

Each route has limits. A court order may authorize release before jail staff finish processing. An OTIS eligibility date is not a promised exit. A VINE alert should prompt direct confirmation. Those distinctions are kept visible so readers can choose the right source.
